Hello blog friends

I recently spent an hour at home crafting online. One of the ladies gave all the assignments and we (the other three ladies) had to make our creations based on those assignments. We had already received a list in advance with the items that had to be ready for the live, so that we could continue working. It was really fun to craft together in this way.

The Art Journal page that I made fits perfectly into the new challenge of Scrapping4funChallenges where I am a designer. In February 2025 we have Challenge 242 Black and White plus one color.

What did I use:

- Black paper

It's time for another monthly challenge at Scrapping4funChallenges. 

In October 2024 we have Challenge 240 Anything Goes.

With this Mixed Media project I started by covering an A5 sheet of paper with Washi tape in strips underneath each other. Then I drew a big heart on the Washi tape paper and doodled the line of the heart a bit. Then I started working with Gesso; I used this to work on the Washi tape outside the heart. The last steps were cutting 3 hearts of different sizes and shapes from matching design paper and sticking them in the heart with a string, sticking on some felt hearts and a text and adding a doodle border around the text, hearts and the edge. 

What did I use:

It's time for another monthly challenge at Scrapping4funChallenges. 

In September 2024 we have Challenge 239 Anything Goes + Stamping.

I started this mixed media page by applying 2 colors of ink. Then I used a stencil and a third color of ink. To make the page a bit more lively, I added white accents. As an eye-catcher I glued part of a napkin to the page. I thought a large stamp with Party was sufficient text; then I added a few stickers and finally I added a doodle border.

Another page filled in my Art Journal.

It's time for another monthly challenge at Scrapping4funChallenges. 

In August 2024 we have Challenge 238 Anything Goes.

To create this mixed media project for you, I started by cutting some strips of design paper. I inked the stripes and adhered them diagonally to the cardstock. Then I started rummaging through my box with leftover design paper and took some out and also grabbed some book paper. I used circle dies to punch out some circles from these scraps and the book paper. I spread these across the page and also glued some of them on top of each other on my workpiece.. I also pasted a text and a few die cuts. To make everything stand out better, I bordered the circles and the text with a Posca pen and also added a doodle border. I pasted the creation in my Art Journal.

What did I use:

In July 2024 we have Challenge 237 - Birthday. 

This time I have a mixed media creation for you on which I have placed a tag and behind that tag another tag can be placed. For stamping I did not use stamps but 2 caps in different sizes and the back of a screw.

What did I use:

- 185 gr. white aquarelpaper

- Leftover lilac cardstock 

- Versa Craft ink: 115 Cherry Pink + 118 Ultramarine + 141 Kiwi

The start of the month means a new challenge on Scrapping4funChallenges blog.  

In June 2024 we have Challenge 236 Anything Goes. 

I made this Art Journal Page together with 4 other ladies; obviously we all made something different. All the ladies took turns giving an assignment.

For this project we were given a saying in advance that should ultimately appear on the project. The first assignment was to apply 2 colors of paint to a background. I did this by dabbing a piece of crumpled  plastic into the water-diluted paint and making a kind of stain on the paper in this way. First with the brown-yellow color and after it was dry with the blue color. Then some structure paste had to be applied through a stencil and then splashed onto the workpiece. The next assignment was to apply a very different color with, for example, a Posca pen and stick a matching picture on it. Finally, do some doodling and stick the saying that we received in advance onto the workpiece.

As of today, I am a designer at Scrapping4funChallenges. Every month I receive an assignment, just like the other designers. However, in Team 1 Cards, Layouts, Tags, Gift boxes, Gift bags, explosion boxes, or any project with paper are made and in Team 2 no cards are made but All Mixed Media Art, Journals, Notebooks, Mixed Media pages, ATCs, Canvas, Home Decor, and Wall art. I am in team 2 for the Mixed Media projects.

As I enjoy working with Mixed Media, I think I will really enjoy being in this group.

In January 2024 we have Challenge 231 Turtles and/or Fishes.
